Closing Remarks
Throughout the exhibition, the vegetable planters installed at various locations across central Kanazawa were lovingly cared for by members of the local community. Visitors to the museum also helped water them, and thanks to everyone’s care, the plants produced a bountiful harvest and reached the end of the exhibition in good health.
Day by day, the vegetables grew little by little, blossomed, and bore fruit. I hope that watching them change offered an opportunity to pause at corners of the city that might otherwise go unnoticed, and to turn your attention to scenes of everyday life in Kanazawa.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who watched over the planters, took part in watering them, and contributed to the project. Thank you all very much.
The bottled water created for watering the plants will remain available for purchase after the exhibition as long as the stock lasts. Please feel free to use it as you wish—for example, to water plants that are special to you. I hope that the bottle will provide a small opportunity to notice and appreciate the plants growing throughout the city.
