How will society, our lives, and the future develop as a result of DX technology? Digital images that weave together the details and scenery of Kanazawa, both old and new, and connect them to each other as a new vision of a futuristic city welcomes visitors at the entrance to the museum.Data pertaining to various Kanazawa landmarks photographed in three dimensions will be sublimated into new images using state-of-the-art image processing technology. These images will be fused with original music by Daito Manabe and Nosaj Thing to forge a kind of artistic expression that has never been seen before.

Artist Profile

  • Rhizomatiks

    Rhizomatiks is a creative team that explores new possibilities for technology and artistic expression, focusing on experimental projects with a strong research and development element, and researching the relationship between people and technology while carrying out R&D projects and creating artworks. Made up of artists, designers, and engineers, the team is responsible for all processes involved in a project, from hardware and software development to operations. Through collaborative work with outside artists, researchers, and scientists, they present cutting-edge works of art and research to the world.

    Artist, programmer, DJ
    Founded Rhizomatiks in 2006.
    Manabe creates works by reinterpreting and combining familiar phenomena and materials from dif ferent perspectives. Rather than seeking to create rich forms of expression that entail a high degree of resolution or realism, he focuses on the intrinsic interest of phenomena, the body, programming, and computer s themselves, which can be
    discovered through careful observation, as well as on the relationships and boundaries between analog and digital, real and virtual, working in a variety of fields.
