Update regarding the Museums’ response to the earthquake on 1 January 2024 (as of 21 March)

 The Exhibition Zone of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa is currently temporarily closed for maintenance due to damage caused by the earthquake on 1 January 2024 and will remain closed until 21 June, as the glass ceiling panels in some exhibition rooms sustained damaged. Entry to the above-ground and underground sections of the Permanent Exhibit “The Swimming Pool” will also be suspended until 21 June.
 The museum website and social media will continue to be updated with the latest information.

This includes entry to the following areas:
・People’s Gallery A, B
・James TURRELL「Blue Planet Sky」
・Art Library
・Nursery
・Kids Studio
・Tea Rooms
・Lecture Hall
・Café Restaurant “Fusion21”
・Museum Shop
* We will also reopen in-person membership applications.

* Theater 21 is open from 1 April.
* Access to both sections of the Permanent Exhibit “The Swimming Pool” is currently not allowed.
