In Museum / Compagnie Marie Chouinard solo performance

The iconic Canadian dance troupe Compagnie Marie Chouinard leads the contemporary dance world with its richly creative and innovative stage works. Like an ancient Greek prophet making prophecies in a state of trance, Marie Chouinard performs solo, responding with dance improvisations to audience confessions and wishes.

* Group works “The Rite of Spring” and “Henri Michaux: Mouvements” will be performed on Nov 7 in Kanazawa Bunka Hall.

Museum × KNZ Fringe ―Meeting with the City

Museum x KNZ Fringe is a four week residency project organized by 21 Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa inviting three performance artists from Forest Fringe, a community of unusual performance artists based in the UK. Each will create a new piece in a different small arts space in Kanazawa, working in collaboration with local artists.

Toyota Choreography Award 2014 Artist in Residency

KAWAMURA Mikiko new creation

The Award seeks to support the next generation of choreographers’ artistic progress, in which KAWAMURA Mikiko was prized the 2014 “Next Generation Choreographer Award” and “Audience Award”. She will be back to Kanazawa after her dazzling solo performance last autumn at “Mission: Capture the Museum!”, to undertake in-residence creation with her dancers and present the results.
