Message from Director 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa aims to introduce the world's contemporary art in a far-sighted perspective from an independent standpoint. The museum designed by "SANAA," an architect unit of SEJIMA Kazuyo and NISHIZAWA Ryue who have attracted a great deal of attention internationally, features beautiful exhibition space based on tones of white, and its unique, round outlook. The categories that the museum takes up include a wide range of fields around art, such as music, performing arts, dance and film. In order to help people get to know them better, one of the museum's priorities is its promotional activities. Through those programs, the museum will enhance the charms and reputation of the city of Kanazawa and disseminate cultural information to all over the world.
